cat converter is shot
okay so i took my car to the shop a while back to see what was wrong with my engine and they saw black spots on the rear bumper and said it was nothing. well i was driving today and my friend herd a rattling noise starting at 2k rpm and not stoping. he knows alot about hondas and said that cat converters shoot black **** through the exhaust so i put the peices together i sounds like it **** the bed. he said to take out the converter and run a straight pipe, weld the bung and something about the fouler so i can run the sensor to it. would i be able to do that to my em2?
Bring it into the dealer, it might be covered under warrenty, not sure if its the same in the US as it is in canada, but the cat is covered under a 7 year from purchase date and under 160,000 km's
if its gone and you fall in that spec your get a brand new exhaust from the manifold back.

If it isn't covered under warranty you could always just get online and find a new OEM one or you can take this as a good time to upgrade your exhaust. If you do upgrade and want a CAT I recommend the high flow CAT from Random Technologies. Thats what I am throwing on whenever my stupid exhaust gets to my house.
