how can i imporove my pathetic 60ft times?
i can't get any lower than a 2.488 on my 60 ft on street tires what can i do to improve i tried launching at 3k that didn't work....... i tried 4500 and that was a disaster (wheel spin), so how can launch my turbo car a little better?

I took a long time to figure out how to launch, but even on my crappy tires I can now pull consistent 2.2s 60' times. How...?
Do a small burnout, just a couple of seconds. Street tires don't need more, but they do need some heat, especially if you've been sitting in between rounds. If the tires are already hot, leave them be. You need to gauge this yourself, there's no real rule.
I launched at 3k rpm for a while without burnout, and got consistent 2.3s 60's. Now I launch at 4k with a lightened flywheel and ACT HD PP after doing that short burnout and get 2.2s. I definitely recommend playing with the launch RPM, that's a pretty wide range you've tried. If 3k causes you to bog, go higher to 3.5k. Some wheelspin is alright, don't just mash the gas off the line - I usually engage the clutch fast and allow 2-3 tire revolutions (again, gauge this mentally) before hitting the gas. Do it right and the tires catch just as you hit the throttle.

you're revving too high for street tires that's why you're spinning like hell. just rev up to ~1500 rpm, then when you're ready to go, dump the clutch and go full throttle simultaneously. that's what i did on my h22/civic with balding stock goodyear integrity tires. i got a 2.0.
edit: i forgot you have turbo. i don't have any experience driving a turbo car so this may not work

i have it lowered with springs and tokico 5 way adjustables.......... i have the rears set all the way firm at 5 and the front set at 2, does that sound right?
you need to be slipping the clutch, hold the rev's at around 4k (judge for yourself) and slip the clutch as fast as possible without getting too much wheelspin. You'll eat up your clutch a little quicker this way but just remember "you've gotta pay to play". My $.02

t..
I pull 1.6's all day long.............but that is on slicks. On my BFG drag radials......I dont even care because all I feel is wheelspin. Gotta love slicks!!!!!!!!!
Oh yeah, suspension is key!!! I have been through many setups and have found the one for me. Good luck!!

launch high and feather it on street tires, rev it up as high as you are willing to go and drop it on slicks, launching low wont get you anywhere trust me

what psi is in the tires when you're launching...i was pulling 2.2 consistant all day long on my 15in SI rims on my d16y8 boosted civic...everyone is right though..just play w/ it...everytime i was wheel spinning i lowered the psi a little more...try 15psi on the tires and go from there....launch from 3500 to 4000 and i flutter the gas while launching....but in the long run...SLICKS are the best! i love my MT's it's more of a rush to launch then anything else...

and take the snows off!!
