check engine light is on... wont rev past 6500 rpm...
(94 p13 ecu) the check engine light is on and i used the jumper wire to get the codes out.... all it does is flash twice... it seems that it flashes at different speeds but its only two flashes.. the book skips the code #2.. what is this?? anyone know what i can do??? also when we were driving the car the ecu wont let me rev past 6500 rpm.. it seems like the fuel cut off but this is a p13 ecu.. any help??
thanks....
thanks....
well.. its a 92 prelude.. but we are working on a h23a vtec... we got it running but now we are having problems with this codes.... its a 93-96 p13 ecu..
Whenever it flashes at different speeds, you're talking about 1 long flash and then a short one or 1 long and 2 short flashes?
code22.
it's the solenoid, pressure or knock. i believe knock is 23. i could be wrong.
check the codes online or in a helms/chilton's.
possible vtec wiring, not enough oil pressure, faulty sensor. could be a few things.

Vtec oil pressure is right Paul. I had this code with my swap. I had the wrong connector on the harness plugged into the pressure switch. If you are using the 92 lude harness then there should be another connector with the same color green nearby that goes to nothing. Try switching them if this is your situation. Hope that helps.

check that link for list of codes. code 22 is, like someone already said, VTEC pressure switch.
oh, and any time you have a check engine light you will not be able to rev past 6500rpm. this is just a safety feature. once you got the problem taken care off it will go back to normal. good luck
