Default had an oil leak ... now not so much???

so since replacing my oil pump my engine was leaking oil. i was almost positive it was the crank seal. i would lose a quart maybe like every 500 miles or so, or unless i was driving fast on the highway which higher oil presssure.

i had a place change my oil for me this last oil change though, and since i've done that, i haven't been loosing oil. it does still leak drips on the floor, but i made a 4 hour road trip both ways, and it stayed at the same level. this is a 180 from when i used to have to fill it up almost a quart after a 2hr road trip.

this is just weird and buggin me out, why all of a sudden is it not losin as much oil? could they have fixed something when they did my oil change? i'm doubting that

Maybe the filter or the oil pan screw wasn't tight and leaking a bit?

Had you checked either when you noticed the oil leak before the last oil change?

yea i dropped my pan when the leak happend the first time because i thought it was coming from there, but it wasnt it. the oil leaks directly from my timing belt cover.. right on the side of the motor where the oil pump is, but its outside the pan. so i'm kind of clueless, i haven't got a chance to look at it under the car, but i still leave oil spots wherever i park, i'm just not loosing the amount that i was .. not nearly

Could be the oil sending unit. I had one botch up on a vehicle I had and it leaked slowly at first, then as time went on it became so bad it was squirting oil out as fast as I was putting it in.
The only difference was when I changed my oil it got worse.
