I think you should just save up until you can get the upper mounts

you can run them without the upper mount.... think about it... tein basic uses stock upper mount, ground controll uses the stock upper mount as do many companies... if its going to be a track car or see a lot of road courses then id say wait but if its for your daily id just pick them up without them.. i am

yes, you can run the stock to hat, but I would get polyurethane bushing in place of the rubber one.

I say you get complete with the top hat. Might as well since you're at it. The rubber on the OEM hat isn't too good. Not sure if you can change it.

you're fine running the stock top hat. If you want a bit of an upgrade over stock, find yourself some ITR top hats...they're different than the standard civic ones (solid bushing i think).

if you daily your car more than track, you may want to stay with the stock top hat as well to keep any noise or creakiness down.

for what it's worth, my Spoon N1's come with ITR top hats and they work fine with my 16k, 14k rates.

also, do some more research on the N+ dampers...i've seen a lot of problems with them and they're not made in japan if you care about that stuff or not.
