An SiR hood would give you the clearance you need for a B motor. But it will only fit on your car properly if you have the JDM EF SiR front end on your car. The JDM ZC hood will also give you the added clearance you need, and it will fit on the USDM front end. Check out http://www.JDMHondaparts.com, they sell both the SiR front end conversion, and they sell ZC hoods.

You have clearance issues? Which kit are you using? I had no problems, I'm surprised you did.

I have fit all of the following motors in my car with the Fiber Images SiR style carbon fiber hood in my car with plenty of clearance.

B18C1
B18C-R
B16A
B18A/B16 head (LS/VTEC)
There is alot of clearance underneath the hood and it fits great. Heres a frontal pic of the Fiber Images Carbon Fiber Hood.

How bad are you rubbing? Try the washers and longer bolts trick to raise the rear of the hood. Also good for underhood cooling Also, since you are still "swapping" you can shim down the engine with washers in the mounts...

fyi..i lowered the spring down a little bit and it works..no more rubbing ..although i'd still like a cf hood, it's impossible to find one for less than 500 shipped
