Would it be ok if i loosend my head bolts and re-torque them with having to replace the head gasket on my b16? thanks

People do reuse head gaskets, I don't recommend it because my thinking is if somethings worth doing its worth doing correct. Why do you want to do this? Just curious.

If you think they may be loose, just retorque them w/o loosening them. Some headgaskets require that you go back and retorque. I wouldnt recommend reuseing a headgasket. It might not hold.

I have a small/minor oil-leak between the head and the block and alot of people told me just to re-torgue it. I just had a new oem head gasket put on. thanks for your replies

New headgaskets should NOT leak.

Yes the leak is near the vtec solenoid. Right where the head curves(corner).

Always use new head bolts exept when using ARP.
Always check the straightness of the block and head surfaces

It is OK to use an old headgasket only if its only been used for a little bit. I reused mine (2 months) old and it works fine.

Yes the leak is near the vtec solenoid. Right where the head curves(corner).
check/replace teh VTEC solenoid gasket before you stress about a leaking HG.

maybe it was taken off or has gone bad...
