how to install 99 b16 piston in gsr block
hi i want to know how to install a 99 b16 pistons into a 94-95 gsr block. what do i need to do to install the b16 pistons on to the gsr block, and does it matter which pistons goes on to which cylinder???? Will my block push up to 11 compression ratios just the pistons itself, or do i need to used the pistons rods and the crankshift from the b16 block, or can i just use the gsr block pistons rods and crankshift as it is. Which way is the best way to go make a 11 compression just with the b16 pistons.
had b16 pistons in my gsr (had gsr crank and rods) and was i believe 11:1 comp (changed it to 9.0 forged though). i have the pistons and the rods already pressed together if your looking to buy a set :-P
i have a set of b16 pistons that i bought off from a guy that has only 40,000 miles on it. just the pistons itself. but i want to know if, does it really matter which pistons set on the 4 cylinder block...
Which piston goes where does not matter (as long as you install them in the right direction) because you will be honing the block and installing new piston rings.
so i can just used my gsr crank and rod still on top with the b16 pistons itself will push out 11:1 compression. am i right about it???
