Default Run wire from passenger door to engine bay?

Hey,

I'm trying to run a wire from passenger side by the ecu to the engine bay without going through the existing hole in the firewall.

Is there another way to run it or should I drill a new hole through the passenger side firewall?

Why can you run it through an existing hole? That would be the easiest

The main reason why is to shorten the length of the cable...it is going from battery in hatch to fuse box/starter. The shorter I can make the cable, the less resistance.

You could make another hole and use a grommet, but if you drill a hole under the dash with the dash still in the car, the hole will end up pretty low on the firewall. You could drill a hole right underneath where the under-hood fuse box sits, but I think you'd have to pull the dash to get to that area with a drill.

Damn, well thanks for the brainstorming. I will probably just end up using the pre existing hole vs the trouble of making another one.
