Does any b series alternator fit my b17a1? Or I have to find that is only for b17? Need help.. thanks!

 

Any b series obd1 vtec is going to fit so a del sol vtec (b16) will fit.

On a side not, if your alternator just went out they have brushes inside you can replace and it will run like new. Thats usually what goes bad inside them and they are less than 10 bucks at your local auto store. A lot cheaper than a whole alternator.

 

If you can get the alternator apart. I tried to take one apart once to rebuild it, and never could get the housing to separate.

 

Ok thanks so much! Got one last question something is pulling my battery down so bad. I have to jump my car whenever I need it. That's why I'm thinking its my alternator. But my battery I relocated at the trunk so I might thinks also its maybe a ground wire or something.. what tests can I do to check if alternator is bad?

 

I usually do this...
1-Start your car (jump if needed) and let it run for a lil..
2-Undo the ground from the battery. If the car dies immediatly id say it was the alternator.
