im planning on getting a motor soon...im thinking about getting a b16 or a b18b...can anyone give their thoughts on either one...i know both their specs i just wanna know what are the advantages and disadvantages from either motor...

i'm leaning more for the LS but not sure...how much would a swap for either cost...if it helps im going all motor...

 

definatly get a LS before you even think about a b16

 

in those engines theres almost no replacement for displacement.

 

If your gonna go with the non vtec get a B20. Cheeper and faster. All motor? get the best of both worlds and throw a b16 head on the block. If you plan to do a serious rebuild no matter what maybe a b16 is the best choice. sleeve and bore it to 1.8L and spin the motor to 9.5k! that would be fun and something the b20/vtec could not do for too long. Just try to think long term.
Personally, I am sticking with the b20 and turbo for my soon to be 92-95 civic coupe.
