I need help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok so hello to all. im new on this post and to preludes all together. let me just say before i start that i have done all the reasearch and frankly have not found all the info i need. some but not all. so please be gentle with me. hahaha
ok so i have the classic honda no start. its a 1992 honda prelude s with 186,XXX miles on it with a 5speed. is an f22a1 i soch non-v-tec with a p12-L00 ecm. i have shot every wire, done the k test, used a break out box, checked the ground under the t-housing etc. i have replaced the main relay with a honda relay. coil tested good on another car so did the dizzy. my issue is aside from no spark no fuel. which is good with direct power is t he fact thet the cel is on and will not cycle. in other words turn the ignition and the cel comes on and will not turn off. i have tried two different ecms and same result. i am keeping an open mind and maby that my luck is that bad that i purchased a bad ecm. i was wondering if there was someone local that could help me out. or could give me some insight on where can i have this dang ecu tested and or repaired. im in vista, ca 92084 and the car needs to pass california emissions. i just purchased this car for $500.00 and other than the no start the car is pretty solid. never had luck with the whole forum thing but i figure id give it one last shot. so any help would be appreciated.

So your not getting any fuel or spark, and you bought the car for 500 bucks. If everything checks out with your electirical equpiment, Im going to say that your engine is blown, or your timing is off.
engine has good comp. timing is good. no broken timing belt. engine turns over fine. i was told that a bad ecm will cause all this witch make sence. but i was wondering as to would anything else cause these simptoms. the cell staying on and all.
thats one of the issues. even when i jumper out the service connector the cel stays on. it will not give me any codes. just stays on. last car that did this to me was a 95 eagle talon but the car showed signs first. like stalling, shutters, gages going haywire. this one from what i was told just died. no warning signs what so ever.
