timing belt tensioner
ok so when i was trying to time my dohc zc in my civic the belt just wouldent tighten so when i went to tighten my belt tensioner the bolt would get a little tight then loose aagain so i pulled the bolt out and there were aluminum shards on it. soo im guessing the threds in the block got stripped out. what should i do?
pack some quick steele in the hole and drill and tap that? [= j.k that was just an idea off the top of my head. cause i cant get an oversized bolt because of the groove in the belt tensioner pully only fits one size bolt in guessing . UPDATE: well i got bored today and tried to put he bolt back into the hole and threaded out a helicoil. i was planning on putting one in it but i guess its been repaired once beore what should i do?
oh i posted this in 92-95 civic forum but no one would help. posted there bcause my ef is going to be gone soon. got a 92 hatch. need a smoother ride for the baby.
