Default S2000 Engine Start Button FTW!!

It's party time. I've been wanting one for the past 3-4 years and I finally have one that operates in my 99 civic. You can turn the car on both with the key and button . I purposely wired it that way.

Not bad. I dont really like the location though.

I thought the push button was "cool" when I had my S2000, but then I realized that it was stupid to put the key in the ignition, turn it, and then hit a button. Kind of stupid. But the chicks liked it!

Did you follow a write up, or did you do it all yourself?

Friend gave me a diagram, explained it to me, and I figured it out myself once I was under my dash.

And yeah the location is a little funky. That's the way I bought it. I bought the panel pre-cut with the button in the hole it's in now. I really wanna put it under the driver side corner vent but I saw 1 pic and it looked weird way up there... I can't think of anywhere else to put it. I don't want it anywhere in the center console. I want to keep it as close to the wheel as possible, but at the same time having it be noticeable from outside the car.

I like it.

It would make more sense for the button to be near the key though.

Now I want one

I'd like it near the key but 6th gen civics don't really have a good place to put them near the key. I don't want it where the emergency light button is. And I don't want to drill in my dash. I was thinking where the cluster dimmer switch goes and then m oving the switch to where the cruise control button is since I don't have cc.

Not to steal your thread, but check out where I mounted mine. I did this right around the time S2000s first came out.

Way way too far from the key for me. I prefer it on the dash somewhere, closest to the key / wheel as possible.
