Icon2 EFs??? UGH!!!

sup i'm new. i bought my first honda civic. its a '90 civic ex. i was into classic muscle cars and always thought that civics were just lawnmower with half an engine lol. but then i found out about different mods that are able to be done to a civic. i started to be interested when i found out about JDM. i wanna build this car, but i have many questions. Such as whats a good engine swap? Wats a true JDM exterior and interior?

LOL thats what I used to think as well, all those ugly boky kits of the late 90's made me wanna puke! Well, everyone has their own idea how to build your car, just start by reading as much as you can. The B16 engine swap is generally a go-to for alot of beginners and you can find them pretty cheap now, but you can do lots with your stock as well. The EX is the cream of the crop sedan to be starting with though. If it were mine, I would stay away from JDM mods that don't add performance to anything, keep the usdm look, just make it really clean and straight.... see what I mean, EVERYONE will have their opinion, so look around on here for a long time before you do anything.

Good luck, and post up some pics! We all want to see it

What's a good engine swap?
You need to figure out what your goals are first.

If you are lucky enough to have a manual tranny in your car then you may be happy with a simple turbo kit and your stock engine. That would put you in the 200hp range which is nice for a daily driver... and easy on the wallet compared to an engine swap.
