coolant burns!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i have a 99 civic si b16 and i dont know why my coolant are disappearing. it dont leak or anything and doesnt disappear until i shut the car off.
ex. i dont drive my car for the winter so i park it. once in a while i start it up and leave it on for a long time. like 20-30min. one day i notice my coolants was gone. so i refill it. a couple days later i start my car again i check the coolant its fine. today like a week later i check it again and its gone down half way. why is it disappearing? any suggestion?

If the coolant is not staying full you have a leak somewhere, it is a leaking rad, cracked block, bad heater core, or a leaking hose or even a bad rad cap coolant just dosent vanish its a closed system
will i just check today no leaks on the drive way. i thought it might be just low coolant in the motor and it just sucked up the coolant from the reservoir. ill check again in a couple of days to see if it disappear.

if you keep boiling and loosing coolant man you don't have any pressure on your cooling system could be the radiator cap thermostat leak some where when that's maken the cooling boil because the coolant should not be boiling at normal operating temperature if there is the proper pressure on the system.
its disappearing from the bottle.
coolant is not boiling.
i can smell coolant inside of my car. i dont have a muffler so the pipe is right under the car. when i sit in it i can smell the coolant.

Leak down test the engine, fill the reservoir with coolant, fill the rad, and drive it for a while, Also id probably do a cooling system pressure test, Ive seen hondas leak coolant from some strange places, also could be a fairly small leak going onto the exhaust and burning, which is why there would be no puddles on the ground
Jesus I feel as if I have the same problem as this guy. I have replaced the waterpump, radiator, cap, thermostat, HEAD GASKET was the last thing I did... then I realized I was leaking coolant from a heatercore hose, fixed that and it STILL looks like I am losing coolant.
It is incredibly frustrating at times. Its like I dont know if its my mind, or if the problem is actually fixed. it hasnt overheated in a while so..eh.

My EK sedan was leaking coolant from a heater core hose by the valve.. well i thought it was from there.. Come to find out, it started leaking inside the cabin as well.. my heater core took a sh*t..
