Default Calling any/all hockey players

Ok so the time has come for me to acquire my very own s2000. I've just graduated college and for the past four years or so I've been trolling around this forum and dreaming of having one of these cars but I only have one concern.

I've played ice hockey since I was a little kid and have continued playing through college, now that I have a job I've retired to the beer leagues but the game will always be part of my life and I will always have a need to transport myself and my gear to and from the rink a few times a week. My question is does anyone have experience fitting a hockey bag and sticks in an s2000? I know the trunk space is limited to say the least but just wondering if anyone has any input. To those who may be unfamiliar with hockey bags....just imagine a duffle bag on steroids containing ~30lbs of damp smelly stuff.

You should be able to fit the bag in (might have to take out some pads to loosen up for packing room), but the sticks would probably be an issue.. They may have to ride shotgun.

haha funny this topic is here because i had to do this last night. the sticks will not fit in the trunk, unless you use a very short stick. you wont have any problem fitting the bag in the trunk unless you are a goalie.
but for the sticks, i placed them in so the blade was up and the butt-end was on the ground, and they were right against the door so they wouldnt move

where in PA are you from?

Ah that's kind of what I figured with the sticks, I'm about 6'2" so I use a long stick...err...and no I'm nowhere near weird enough to be a goalie so that's not an issue.

I'm over on the other side in the Burbs of Pittsburgh.

im 6' and i just use the regular length composite sticks and i bet i could fit a stick 3-4" longer in there without any problems. i usually drive top down though with my equipment so i can just throw it out of the car when i get there.

oh bummer, how bout them steelers?

Yeah, you're Dave right? I was friends with chris and brandon. I had a white four door integra and used to come to all the Cranberry meets (same name on TI.net). Anyways I totalled the teg my sophmore year of college and been waiting to be able to get an S ever since.

Anyways thanks Chris. for the heads up, I'm glad I can be a hockey playing s2k owner.
