it wasnt so much that... really i loved that car, but praticality was not there, I have 2 kids, i needed room, so now i have a stock 4 door that will smoke the majority of cars on this board, and i dont have one dollar out of my pocket invested in this car besides the monthly payment....

 

I'm not downing your decision - it was probably a good one. I was kidding about your Honda by the way.

But the comments like "...and it will smoke most cars on this board" are pretty unneccessary.

I cannot recall one stock WR-X that is a quick as my car, and I'm sure my car is not the quickest car on these boards.

General comments like that one aren't going to sway the Honda guys from buying Hondas.

I'm sure I have less than 1/2 of the money you're spending on your WR-X in my Civic.



I ain't trying to start some bullshit WRX vs. Honda debate, but then again I didn't open up that can of worms Chris, you did.

It just *seems* that you have suddenly started to rip on Hondas when you have always been a huge Honda guy with a whole damn website sporting them, etc.

It's your life, your car, etc. I say good choice on the WRX. If I had to buy a new car it'd be that over anything else. The GT-i 337 is also nice, but I'd rather have a Japanese AWD turbo car rather than a German FF car.

neither am i, i think your taking this wrong... i just feel that for the money the wrx stock, will outrun most of the b16/b18 stock eg/eks on this board... hell i spend 400 bucks or less on the wrx and can run mid 13's all day...

 

Let's see, your WRX runs Low to mid 14's with a decent driver...

I have a B18c in my EJ6, and I run about that time... You're not gonna run away from anything... Agreed, mod for mod, I will spend way more than you will have to, to get fast, but how much did you pay for your car?

I bought my car used back in 98', and even back then it cost me $11,000. With the swap, it's at $15,000... Then I/E & a clutch cost me $750... $15,750... I think I have about $10,000 left to spend to catch up to you...

Do the math, and just stop hating on Hondas...

 

im not hating on hondas, do you not remember who i am.... you do this math... sold my ek basically for 21k, i bought a wrx with the money... I am old school honda... im not one of the guys whos jumped on the "ek hatch bandwagon" hell i remeber posting pics of my ek and people used to bash me for no kit, or black wheels suck, or who is spoon..... so dont think im here cutting on your car... i was just trying to joke around with the people here that know me and it seems its being taken out of context as usual, reason #1326546 why i sold my honda...

Keep us posted on the WRX. I`d like to know what types of problems occur. I want to see how they hold up once they get 30-40k on them. Might trade my truck in sometime this year and I really "dig" the wagons.

How was I spreading hate? I even said that that is the best choice for a new car, but yet you seemed to miss that part and focus on my comment on how I cannot think of one stock WRX that runs as quick as my little $10,000-$12,000 project car.

HE started the **** with his comment, and I happen to Chris and we are cool and all. He IM'd me and I have no problem with him or his jump to a Scooby.
