1. Get a factory helms manual for the vehicle.
2. Diagnose the igniton system per the manual's instructions.

Kragen has a Chiltons Manual, its like the same thing. But most people prefer Helms. Umm.. Just a thought, and Im only saying this because it happened to me when I was diagnosing an electrical problem I had. Check your underdash fuse box, Make sure all your fuses are good, because there's one that kills spark to your engine, so if you HAD spark and now you don't, you could have conceivably blown the fuse

Here is a diagram of a newer civic, because it's all I could find on Google, to show you which one I mean, Hope this helps.

Default sometimes . . . .

random thing to check when your car mysteriously won't start --> the switch that the clutch depresses. The little rubber thing that pushes the switch in will get old, deteriorate and break off or flex too much to push the plunger. I have had a couple of situations where I was going nuts trying to find the issue and eventually worked back to that.

If you keep blowing igniters get a new set of leads. Make sure they are plugged onto the correct plugs. Do not crank the engine with the dissy wired in but a plug lead off.
