new guy beginning a build
so just curious as to what you guys recommend for a strictly drag engine...h22, gsr, type r, what? im looking to build engine first than worry about and chasis to put it in..any help would be appreciated thanks a lot. also gonna be either turbo or supercharged.

I would recommend asking yourself a few questions. Is this your ONLY car? How much money do you have to sink into it realistcally. Where do you want to race it at? How fast do you want to go? are you looking to do all motor, turbo, nos?
thanks alot guys! i researched these cars for a long while about 2-3 years ago it seems as though most of what was big than is still big now. i think im gonna go with a boosted gsr in a eg hatchback what do you all think. my ideas have also changed a little into i want a streetable car not strict strip
If it is just a toy car build a single cam turbo. Do some eagle rods and vitara pistons, a little head work and a 57 trim t3, 3" exhaust, and an lsd trans. You can get into low 11's high 10's for so much less money than a turbo B. Just my 2 cents

thats my truck there last i dynoed was all stock with programmer made 468. now i have fuel system, injection pump, (twins, nozzles, cam, springs, studs awaiting install) than ill dyno again track is closed here right now
Good point. If he wants a streetable car, it's cheaper. You don't need big HP in a car like that, you can't get traction on the street anyway's.
Someone on here has made some pretty impressive numbers with a z6.
