Honda needs to go back in time and re-evaluate that damn bolt.... this is the 2nd of 3 cars that has done this to me.
Im gonna get get new lca's with time, but for now would it work if i grind off the other end of the bolt connected to the suspension, and beat the hell out of it with a hammer and punch?
anyone know the dimensions of the bolt so i can get a new one?

get the bolts at the honda dealer, they have them for sure or http://www.acuraoemparts.com
as far as i remember the other end of the bolt is a nut welded to a shock mounting so if u want to grind that off i guess u can but u would have to weld a new 1 back on. plus u have to mess with hammering it out and it doesn't sound like it will come out that easy

just hack saw the welded nut y0. I have an extra bolt and the nut to fit it, pay for the postage and you can have it.
this is not the place where that bolt is getting stuck. it gets corroded inside the bushing which doesn't let it move. if u use impact air tool, the bolt flexes inside the bushing absorbing impacts. this is why its so bad to get out. nut doesn't has to do anything with this
wrong!

yup, my buddy recently got a car from Pennsylvania and that thing was rusted to hell. we had to cut all the bolts and get new lca's . good luck
lol, i might be from Cali. but we still have rust. After hack sawing the nut on the strut You could always just press it out with a C clamp and a large socket on the side of the bolt with the head on it.
I had to saw off the old shock and drill out the bolt when I broke mine.

This is a common problem but it is EASILY avoided. I broke one when I was installing a new shock. It will break if you try to remove it first, but it must be removed last. It doesn't matter if you soak it in PB blaster or not, the problem is that your shock and spring is loading onto that bolt. Unbolt the LCA from the knuckle first, and then there wont be nearly as much tension on that LCA/shock bolt - and it wont break.

i was thinking a spray a day of pb blaster for two weeks while driving some bumpy roads would help. but i'll find out how it goes at the end of next month when my koni's come in.
Seriously, don't try to take the LCA/shock bolt out first, or chances are that b¡tch will break. Good luck.
