i've found a header i want to purchase for my h series 98' civic. The manufacture of this header makes two models. one for SH and another for non SH, Does anyone know what the difference in the two headers is? My guess we be the length and maybe the design of the tubing right before it meets the collector.

 

The difference is something like 2" in length. If you have a custom exhaust and not a kit, then get either one. A welding torch fixes anything that doesn't fit.

 

-Header collector is longer to accommodate ATTS
-Exhaust is 2-3ish inches shorter at the cat connection to accommodate the header differences.
-Type-SH oil filter is in a different location on the block

 

thanks for the response guys. so we came to a conclusion that the SH header is slightly longer.

 

Don't forget the welding torch, and that the oil filter location is irrelevant.
