I am building a d16z6 currently and I'm going to run 75.5mm Vitaras, my goal is 300hp. From the reading that I have done these are the specs that I plan on giving the machinist. Do these specs look ok for my goals? Any insight from Vitara users appreciated.

PTW
.0035 to .0040 for PTW clearance.
(Desired PTW) .0035 x 2 = .007
(75.5mm converted to Inch) 2.972" + .007 = 2.979"


Rings
Upper ring gap
006" x 2.927= 0.0178
Second ring gap
0065" x 2.972 = 0.0193

 

Ring gap seems about right. I would recommend a little tighter ptw clearance something around .0025 should be fine. Im running .003 with my forged wiseco pistons. Cast has a lower expansion rate than forged pistons. Just my .02 cents.
