to the parts department at a honda dealership and you can get the
code that way ....or at least mine does it for me...check it out.
hate those stereos, best bet is to go to the honda dealership
unless you feel like sitting there for a few months trying to figure it out
or you could do what tama said and just drag it out yourself get the serial number out and check online
they have some websites that you can get the number from i believe
theres usually a fee but its not anywhere near 160$

i took mine out (not that hard), took it to honda, showed them my registration to prove i own the car, and they gave me the code for free. it's pretty easy. they might just check the vin and then u may not have to take it out. but just in case they need to look at the code underneath the actual stereo i would just take it out. good luck.
The fee is for the removal of the radio to get the code.
Remove the radio yourself and get the serial and have proof of ownership, go to the dealer and get it for free.

Do you need instructions on how to remove the radio? It won't be hard - maybe a little tedious but not hard. And certainly not two hours of labor (what the dealer is charging you).

Any suggestions on how to remove the stereo to get the serial number?
i tried using the vin with the dealers and all of them are being extremely difficult and still want to try and charge me a ridiculous amount. It is the original stereo for the vehicle, but unfortunately the dealership the car was originally purchased at went out of business and the local dealership said only the orginial dealership can access the stereo code....i think people are just giving me the run around because I am a girl....

You have to go to the Honda dealership for one, you don't mention that specifically but it needs to be a Honda dealership. And any of them can look up the code it does not have to be the original dealership.
