definately not an OEM option.
looks to be an aftermarket custom 'kick pod' i believe they're called that matches the OEM plastic color.

LMFAO!!!!! It's a best seller in Mexico lol.
just missing the flames on the hood for extra h/p...haha!!!
Tweeters should also be mounted higher up in the cabin. That's one of the main advantages to getting a component system instead of a regular OEM mid-range speaker or an aftermarket 2- or 3-way.
yes sir. which is pretty important, especially if you car about your sound enough to drop the cash on something like that.
our cars aren't really acoustically tuned lol esp. when you have a loud *** car its hard to get good sound. that would sound like *** and wouldn't be worth it at all.

That is not and never has been an oem option! Those are an old design that came out many years ago by a company called "Q Forms". They are still around today...here's the link

lol mexicans and their rice...
afaik, they use it to integrate
a more "sound" effect in your car..
if your really heavy/serious on sounds,
SQ-sound quality, this is one option you could
do in to your system..

Before you start bashing stuff, you should at least do a little research first. These are Kickpanel Q-forms, made by a company call Q-Logic. They were popular in the mid-late 90's when Civics were used more for sound competition than drag racing. They replace your stock kickpanels(and the dead pedal) and allow you to mount your component speakers "deep" into the footwells.
Contrary to what everyone on this forum seems to believe... for good sound reproduction, the OEM tweeter mounts in the sail panel is probably the WORST place to mount tweeters in a EK Civic. Since they are so much closer to your ears than the woofer(and closer to one passenger than the other), the highs from the tweeters will reach your ear before the lower frequecies do, which results in a messed up soundstage. High-mounted tweeters in cars are usually BAD for acoustics, the only good thing about mounting the tweeters high is that it will raise the soundstage. What kickpanel-mounted speakers do, is that it places both the tweeter and woofer at near equal distances from BOTH passengers in the front seats. So it results in a good soundstage imaging and better phase consistency. If sound quality was the only concern, then these kickpanels would simply be the best place to mount your front speakers.
