So after about 10 minutes of driving, my temperature needle shoots up to the red.
I do have fluid in the radiator, and also in the reservoir tank.
What I find weird is, shouldn't the temperature gauge only shoot up if the fluid in the radiator is hot?


I have my fan rigged up to run when I turn on my corner lights,
So even when I drive with my fan on, the needle still shoots up to the red.

What could my problem be? could it be because I have my fan hooked up to the corner lights? Instead, should I wire up the fan to its on switch and straight to the battery?
Could that maybe fix my problem?

I need your help H-T.

 

assuming your fan is working maybe your thermostat isnt opening

 

yeah my fan is always blowing,
Is it a problem to run it without a thermostat?

hmm./
turns out my temperature sensor was full of oil.
cleaned it up.
and it stopped acting up.

 

hmm... where is the temp sensor anyways?
im thinking on the back of the engine. near the intake mani.

 

nah, its under the distributor.

there is two under there.
its the one nearest to the front of the car.

 

AH! i also thought that would be it.
