single cam turbo build?
hey guys im kinda a noob at turbos ive done some research and have decided to go with a jdm d15b build. i kno its the highest comp. single cam but does it really matter? wats the best turbo? i wanna build my internalls too so far i kno that the week point on the d series are the rods so imma go with eagle rods and forged pistons dont kno wat brand though. thats all i have so far im in no rush imma take my time and do it right. im looking towards the 300 whp. range on my eg hatch its my DD and weakend worrior :]. lol
oh and if ur wondering i have full disk breaks with ground controll koni setup cambers struts n ties all around so if can get any input from experience that would great. thanks in advance

We need a little more info on what your trying to do? Drag race, autocross, streetcar??? There are tons of options to get you to 300 whp. Give us some more info we can help out a little more.
From what I know, koni shocks/discs don't help with a turbo setup's reliability. Just safety
If you build it, 300hp isn't a problem. 3" exhaust, decent exh manifold, aftermarket cam/intake mani and a t3/t04e is about all you'd need (besides fuel/MAP/ecu stuff). A 50trim will be more than enough for 300whp, maybe a 46trim. A 60trim T3 can get you to about 300whp if you push it enough. That would make it a bit more fun on the road, as it would spool faster. A stock head/intake would require closed to a 57trim to make 300whp w/o cranking the boost.
I would honestly recommend you do with a D16 instead, since the benifits of the D15B are all in the stock components. The valvetrain is the RPM limitation, not so much the rod/stroke ratio. If you plan to boost it stock, the build, get a small turbo like a volvo/saab ".42/.48" 50trim T3 until you build it.

wow alot to take in.. well u mentioned the d16 and i have a d16z6 head wat if drop it on the block will it make the compretion even higher or would i be ok with that. and if i could get any links on some turbos to get me in the right direction cuz i kinda feel al little lost.. lol
and wat exactly does "building it" consist of lik exactly wat should i be putting internally?
