accord revs high before shifting
I have a 96 accord ex auto vtec and I'm having a problem where it revs really high (5 - 6k) when shifting to the next gear while going from a stopped position. At first I thought the trans is gone, but the more I research on the subject the more it's leading me to think that its the trans soleniod or TCM computer. I've been looking through all the manuals I have and I can't find the location of it. Does anyone know where I can find it and possibly have some pictures of it?

the #5 and #7 are the shift and lockup solenoids, which are right on the outside housing of the transmission facing you just below the starter.

i believe the TCM is number 1 on this diagram which would be under the carpet passenger side by the PCM, but someone correct me please since i dont have an auto car.
BTW do you have a blinking D4 indicator light on the gauges or have you tried to jump the service connector to check for any codes? How about a trans fluid level check and change?
