Default crx b16 vs b18

i have a 89 crx and i was woundring what should i get i have a b18 that i blew up and i have a homey that has a crx with a b16 and he swears by it. so should i get a nuther b18 or a jdm b16 no im not gonna ever boost and spray im an all motor guy and no ls vtec iv blew one up in one month of building it with forged pistons and egle rods u name it did it by the books. any way i have a gsr tranny with light weight flywheel and stage 2 cluch, cupple bolt ons.i also whould like to keep it obd0 if i can

ls's have alot of torque but don't rev too high which you probably know and i have a b16 its a very fun egnine pulls really long and are a good platform um myabe also try b20 vtec after a while i've heard good things about it.

that is guessing he si referring ro a b18a or b18b

if you mean gsr b18 that is a whole nother ball game

either way I swear by all of hte b18 series

the b16 while it has some good qualities and the r/s ratio is ideal just doesn't perform

the b16 has some great parts and of course the tranny is so loved...but meh.

the torque of the LS is great
the extra horse for a b16 cool - but you have to rev a lot higher in comparison to make that power...

and well for what you would spend getting a jdm b16 if you had it imported you could get a full LS swap and get some extra toys for it...

thanks every one, im not realy looking for torque more or less top end and im geting a motor for a 1g but any one got any time slips or time i could refrence i pull a 14.1 with sliks all motor no bolt ones just long air ram
