I have by far the craziest electrical problems, i'd like to say, EVER! I have a 96 civic hatch and the last owner decided to install power windows and a 00 dash himself. The car is a PITA! The gauge lights don't, break lights have been giving me issues, just soso much more that affects the daily driving.

Should i take out the whole dash and attempt to rewire? The dude did use the $30 book with the how to wire, and whatnots. BUT since that obviously did him no good, i doubt it would do me any. I'm in a bind. :/

Or does anyone know a good shop to take it to in or around Dallas? Or if anyone could personally come help me out or even guide me through fixing it.
It would help a lot.

Really nothing you can do but fix it. You pretty much stated your options in your original post. Either try to find the faulty connections yourself, or take it somewhere.

 

Pull the dimmer switch out see if it works or is even pluged in. Then look down behind the brake pedal and make sure you have a good connection there. Maybe he didnt plug everthing in so well.

 

Yeah, i hope it's just that he misplaced plugs.
When i turn the blinker on the high beam light in the gauge comes on, and the h & c gauge goes crazy. When the light in the middle is on and i press the break it turns off. Umm, when the radio is on and i roll a window down it goes all static-y. Probably so much more, I can't recall right now.. My explanations sort of suck, in a hurry.

I'd have to pay so much money for such silly electrical issues. Then again tearing it apart myself would probably be a big mistake. I guess i need more opinions or maybe if anyone knows any small suggestions of what to check or to do?
