Default 92 Civic cx hatch, no dash lights, good fuses, any ideas? Help!

Hello all.

I just bought a 1992 Civic cx hatch and i have no dash lights. I have checked all the fuses and they are all good. Everything else seems to work just fine but the dash lights, any ideas? I do have power at the dimmer switch on the two outer terminals if that means anything. PLease help, night driving stinks!

Thanks

Paul

Is it the whole dash? Or just like the AC/Heat control unit?

Maybe burnt bulbs if your dimmer switch is good.

Yeah the bulbs, or LEDs in my AC/Heat control unit burnt out, but the rest of my/dash was ok.

Hello, yes the radio works, but it is an aftermarket radio the previous owner put in, not the stock radio...

Thanks

Yeah go to your local junkyard and get a new dimmer switch first, before you start chasing wires around. Check if it's even plugged in at all.

Yeah the dimmer switch or your emergency light switch can also cause some parts of the dash to not light up.

Hello,

Yes the license plate lights work just fine. Would the DRL couse a symptom like this also? How would you test it to see if thats the problem? Thanks

As far as the emergency light switch goes, do you mean the Hazard switch?

Thanks

Hazard switch only affects turn signals.
