ok so lately i have noticed that if im on the gas hard for a minute or two or if i go up a really large hill and the engine starts to bog out. afterwards i can smell almost like rubber burning but not quite kinda weird. i was thinking maybe oil but my car dosnt burn oil. (if it dose very small amount). hopeing maybe something to do with the head gasket since its getting replace when i do a mini me in 2 weeks. but if not its something i want to take care of while my engine is apart thanks guys.

 

oh also my car is auto and dosnt smell like clutch

 

sound like your cat might be getting bad

 

Check for an exhaust leak.

 

i dont have a cat haha. its just a test pipe... could that be it? or more likely a leak?... that makes me feel alot better

 

its most likely nothing to worry about. it could be some many diffrent things. as long as your not smelling burnt wire,burnt clutch or burning oil you should be O.K.,

 

yea i've ruled wire out bc it would do that all the time and my engine dosnt burn oil so thats not it. i just wanted to run it by you guys and see what i get since i am tearing it down soon anyways.
