Overheating Problems
My 1998 Honda Accord keeps overheating when its idling. I have a new thermostat, radiator, cooling fan motor, new tubes top and bottom.
There are no leaks of antifreeze but the car does have a minor oil leak near the oil pressure switch.
The weird part is, I notice the radiator uses a lot of antifreeze, but not so much to the point of it being empty yet I can't find any leaks.
I did notice that when the car was well on its way to the VERY TOP to the HOT (red bar) on the temperature that the fans did not come on, they finally came on eventually but the car did not cool down.
Sometimes when Im driving it will overheat (occasionally)
I usually notice when its on its way to becoming extremely high on the temperature because it will do a big shake.
Both tubes TOP AND BOTTOM that come from the radiator are very hot when it overheats.
I am not sure whether or not it could be the water pump or the coolant temperature sensor...
No smoke comes out of the car when it overheats.
