I was looking to swap out my valve cover for a type-r valve cover but i dont want to pay jdm as f&#k prices!!! It looks like the two are interchangable but i just want to make sure.

yes they are the same. I put my k20 type-r on my k24

Im not putting ur car down. Just sayin the type r thing is overrated. I had it in the beginning then everyone had it. So now im rocking the Crazy Lime green with purple sparkles in it. No homo!

i thought the K24 valve covers on the accord were like the jdm integra type-r? and yeah i know the type-r thing is played out, thats why im not doing it just to be a type-r clone, i just want the cleaner look, and big HONDA letters under the hood. i still plan on painting the valve cover gold like my old factory one. the other reason is the gasket between the valve cover and the spark plug holes is torn on cylinder #2 and im getting some blow-by. so i figured that if i have to take it off anyway, i might as well replace it with what i want.

 

Type r valve cover is still sweet tho no matter how played out....................
