a little shield like that doesn't do anything for performance; if you want to actually make a difference you have to completely enclose the filter from the engine bay. you're basically paying $265 for a filter, total ripoff.

I have been really happy with everything CT-Engineering as released, but I am not sure about this item. They will have a booth at the San Fran Japantown show this Sunday, I will ask them a little about it. I am not sure I would gain anything more from this that I do with my AEM CAI.

$250+ for a heat shield.

Sealed airbox + high flow filter + modified MAF housing + scoop = too hard for CT-E to build?

That would probably cost just as much as the gruppe-m air box if not more.

Agreed. I think CT-E/Comptech is hoping their name will encourage people to buy their overpriced heat shield.

people will buy it. it seems that most 8th gen users are fooled into buying pointless products and jockin certain brands. ct being one of them.

I agree with most of the comments. Isn't this the first thing ct-engineering has released since the sale of comptech?

also don't forget this comes with a billet aluminum maf housing. I think i read on 8thgen that its a strait through design. I haven't seen any pictures of the inside of the maf housing but they say it doesn't lean out and it make 8hp NA and supercharged.

yeah has a housing. im sure you would get 8hp from just adding a round filter to the stock intake.
