Default ctr intake cam

is it true that you can just swap out the stock intake camshaft out of your b16 or b18 with a CTR one instead of both. Will this throw the engine out of wack. has anyone done this and seen suficient power gains?

It doesn't throw the car out wack it just maximizes the lift and duration of the air going into the cylinders. More air = more power. Of course you can just do the CTR intake cam but for best benefits get both intake and exhaust. I can't remember but if im not mistaken CTR/ITR exhaust cams are identical.
