I've been working at autozone since June of last year. I just found out that we sell motors. I was just wondering what were the prices for some of these motors so i check it out.
b16a2 for $2400 b18c1 was like $2600 and freaking a k20a2 was going for $2788. I just wanted to know if that was cheap???
So if anyone wanted to know, you can get motors pretty cheap at autozone, shipped to the store, unless its a d16z6, which was over priced at $2400 And a freaking b18c5 was going for a whooping $8999, way to over price

yup. and since they are just starting to sell motors, if they are, their rep wont be as good as HMO. and we dont know the condition of the motors. PLUS autozone sometimes have kids that dont know jack **** about cars.
true, I think they've been selling them for awhile now.. I knew they sold the Ford motors and transmissions and such.. didn't know about honda motors though... I buy my motors from Best Japanese Engines down the road from here.. a b18c cost $2000 here..

autozone didnt just start selling motors they always have and rep has nothing to do with it they are remanufactured long blocks but they use all duralast bullshit so its not worth it.
yea i work at autozone and the only thing i buy there is oil and wiper blades...i have bought a timing belt and alternator belt before tho for my b7...all of our tools are garbage i literally store used a great neck ratchet and 3 times after using it i had to bang it on the ground to make it to switch from tightening to loosening
great neck is a joke im what i like to call an "outdoor mechanic" being i dont have a garage to work in i have literally done an engine swap and a few trannys at the park down my street so i cheap out on my tools because i lose them and great necks love to break at the worst times thank god for the warranty though
but im still a little skeptical. i always heard both sides before i buy any new brand
NP lol
i dont like to buy anything from auto for the reason that im not comfortable using remanned and off brand products. now they sell engines? i wont ever buy one from em unless they can establish very high credibilty that the engines are worry free

well one is longer than the otherl..... no no i am a smart ***... sorry
long block- is pretty much a complete engine with head and block already togather... minus your intake and exhaust manifold.....
short block-- on a honda will consist of everything from the headgasket down.... so minus the head....
kev
like i said i never had one returned and i worked there for 3 yrs. Also there is a warranty that comes with the engine. my buddy bought one and put it in his mustang and built it dd to the track no trailer queen.
