Noob needs tranny help?!?!?!?
I have recently purchased a 1998 accord ex (4 banger), and it has accomplished two rear-end vehicles two different times with the previous owners. I have put the car back together now, but the tranny seems to be slipping in the first three gears. I was wondering if there was any kind of adjustment, or sensor or anything i could fix and or adjust to heal this problem? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!

A transmission fluid change.
I refer to it as the Honda Approved Tri-Fluid Change proceedure.
Honda went to (effectively) an all electronically controlled Auto Trans for the 1998 model year and eliminated anything that could be externally adjusted. Everything is now controlled thru a renamed PCM (Powertrain Control Module) thru the use of pressure sensors, position sensors and solenoids. Even sensors which were traditionally associated with engine operations now have a hand in it.
This may give you an idea of how extensive these sensors and solenoids are.

You have a BAXA trans. Like PAdams said, it's all electronically controlled now. There are no adjustments. There is a set of Clutch Pressure Control(CPC) solenoids on the trans, Honda calls them linear solenoids, they control pressure in the clutch pack for apply and shift feel. It's possible they could be bad or something else to that effect. I'm affraid you really need to take it to a techa nd let them check it out. It really hard to say without looking the car. Hope this helps.
