ok whats the difference between a 92-95 3 door hatchback cat-back exhaust system VS a 96-00 hatchback cat-back system ?

ok the mid pipe with resonator how is that suppose to be mounted , hooks pointed down or up ? as i installed a 96 hatchback system onto my 95 and its 4 inches to long ?

 

need more true opinions same or not ?

All '96 - '00 hatches have the catalytic converter in the exhaust manifold, '92 - '95 DXs, Sis, and Canadian CXs have it under the car immediately following the downpipe. '92 - '95 US CXs and all VXs have the catalytic converter in the manifold. Those with the cat in the manifold have a longer catback than those with the cat after the manifold.

 

what he said above me. ya i got a ek hatch and had a bunch of exhausts alot of them were for eg's. if u order an exhaust for a 96-00 your basicly getting a header back exhaust as long as your using a stock length header. very cool if u were gonna run a test pipe. bolts up right to the header.

It should, i'm running a stock '96 - '00 hatch axleback on a '92 - '95 hatch and it fits fine.

 

alright that sweet because i can get one brand new for really cheap so i hope it fits. worst case scenario, it doesn't i can still sell it! haa

Part number for a 99 CX axle back = 18030-S00-C20
Part number for a 95 CX axle back = 18030-SR3-X10

Should be the same set-up. You can fit a 92-95 hatch exhaust on a 96-00 as long as you do the exhaust conversion with the manifold and cat.
