Default Lets talk about a turbo real quick.

So I drive an auto yes (don't say anything because traffic is a *****) and I am looking at low power gains. I was taking a peek at the xs power kit, and it is cheap very cheap. I also searched on here and it looks like people have used it before, with good results. I was looking at one thread specifically and the guy that had it wasn't making as much power as he'd hoped. This is perfect for me. I am looking at < 250hp possibly even < 200 because of the auto tranny. IHE can't do this and neither can internals for the price I am willing to pay. On the xs website, one of their kits comes with a dsm turbo. What turbos do the other ones come with? Or would you just say screw it and piece a used one together?
EDIT: And what does the "bracing" of the manifold imply?
EDIT 2: And which one would you suggest from their website? I want to keep my damn a/c as well.

If there aren't many reponses I'll ask a mod to move this to f/i.

The Integra forum, as well as the Civic forum are really bad places to find accurate information on turbo setups. I'm just going to save you the hassle and move it for you now...

Well it's either I move your thread or you get a dozen posts telling you to run 10psi or you'll blow your engine....Basically ignorant rantings from people that dont know the first thing about turbo setups. Trust me, you're in better hands in the FI forum

well im assuming you have a civic. hopefully with atleast a d16z6 or d16y8 in it. well either way you will have to upgrade to a stronger torque converter. about the xs power turbo kits. they arent horriable. just run a oil restrictor for the turbo and look into a cast manifold. thats the major downfall of them is the manifold cracks all the time. also get it tuned. there are cheap alternatives to hondata. like chrome or go to pherable.net for some base maps. run dsm 450cc injectors and the stock fuel pump should be fine for less than 250 hp on stock fuel pressure. also look at www.homemadeturbo.com. theres some good info there to.

It's an integra. And I'm assuming you thinking it is a civic is the reason you told me to upgrade my injectors and torque converter.

No, you will still need at least the injectors and a resistor box. Don't know about the torque converter.

stock teg and civic auto trans dont like boost plain and simple. you can get away with about 5-6 psi befor eyou have an issue. after that good luck. IMO an upgraded torque converter would be your friend reguardless.

Honda autio transmisions are completely different from most others. Most other manufactures use a planitary gear system and honda is totally different which is why there weak for boost. they last a long tiome with stock motors but once you start to hammer them, say goodbye

Get a ebay cast log manifold, ebay turbo with an oil restrictor and you will be fine. you could also do a saab turbo which is super small and set for 7 psi with internal gate and wont produce alot of HP which is what your looking for. But frankly 250 is out of the questions for sure. 200 is pushing it. Im pretty sure a fully built teg auto tranny will only hold somethign like 300-325whp or so ive read

what about a nitrous kit? Quick, easy, not that expensive, and no bullshit parts like XS power.

id have to say no to the NOS kit. ist instant power and i highly doubt the teg auto tranny will hold that kind of a hard hit in power. i guess could do a progressive kit but then your refilling bottles all the time thats the pits

I'm not using nitrous. I seriously only want like maybe 200hp total, not gained. Is the honda tranny not even good enough for that?
