Where can I find parts 29 and 30? Don't want to spend $80/per.

These are the part numbers

Honda Genuine Parts (OEM) or a Salvage Yard. They are "Dealer Only" items and only available new thru Honda Parts Division.

Where do you get $80.00 each?

$23.00 each from Majestic Honda, Lincoln RI

You won't find them cheaper.
There isn't enough demand for an aftermarket sourse.

This is where I got it. Looks to be the same, but different part numbers.

Majestic Honda
Majestic uses their own numbering system, but it's the same unit.

OK, I guess they just have different numbers for each year. They look the same. Are the required for the brakes? Will it keep the calipers clean from dirt and such? I'll be able to get a pair for that price. They all look the same, just different part numbers.

Ever think about trying the junkyard. You could probably get them for about $10 at the most.

I would suggest asking what the difference is between the 1996 EX RR Disc Shield and the 1997 EX RR Disc Shield.
They are different PN#'s and decidedly more expensive for the '97.
I have no rational explanation for this. They are a none structual item (to which nothing is attached) but are functional. I see no reasoning why they wouldn't be interchangable.
I apologize for the confusion but you weren't specific on the year....
I looked up the '96 version.

Your best bet is a salvage yard (A "You Pick It" if you're up to it) or someone local that's parting out a 1997 EX. You won't find something like this on EBay or Craig's List unless its included with a rear brake upgrade package.

They not only keep debris from fouling the rotors/pads, but also direct air flow around the rotors, helping them disipate heat.
