My brother and I are swapping a JDM D15B into his 98 Civic EX this weekend and I have a few questions before we begin...

1) Can we use the D16Y8 ECU or do we need the JDM D15B ECU?
2) What timing belt and water pump is used for this swap?

is it the obd1 or obd2 d15b b/c if its the obd1 d15b i would think about getting a obd2 to obd1 harness and running a p08 ecu

 

just did this swap on my EJ1. Its VX belt and pump i used my p28 i don't know about your ecu but a p28 works. If you change the tentioner i was told to use the Z6 tentioner.
