Call your local DMV, no one will give you a better answer than them. Also, try not to ask questions like this??????????? No need for extra question marks.
I also don't recommend you do a RHD conversion. Why?
A) You sound like you don't know what you're doing.
B) People who have done it wouldn't do it again
c) People who tried it, just gave up.
D) In the end is it really worth it just to drive on the other side of the road?

Re: rhd conversion? legal?????
save your money and just buy a RHD one. there are so many rhd cars here its rediculous. EF SiR's, CRX glasstop SiR's, EG6 SiR's, Skylines, Silvias, Soarers, MK4 supras. If you are looking to get a JDM eg6, it already comes with a totally different interior, and a B16a (sometimes with an LSD). most of em(EG6) are going for around $5000, and are RUST FREE. IMO get an imported one, swap all the goodies you want to keep over to the new one and sell the other one.

Re: rhd conversion? legal?????
Why would someone want to drive on the other side of the road and shift with the other hand just to be "different". I would rather take all of that time and money and dump it into the engine...

ask your self this... everytime you want to get some food off the dollar menu because you blew all your money on a RHD conversion are you REALLLLLY going to want to get out and go inside because you are sitting on the right side of the car. or are you gonna be the ******* that goes thru backwards?

I can drive on the left side of the road in my LHD car.
A RHD conversion will not cause you to drive on the other side of the road.
I wonder if that will get sigged.

Well thankyou for answering my question! Holy sh**! I have the clip already and it doesn't cost much. Please keep your negative comments to yourself.

Re: rhd conversion? legal?????
think of it this way.
How much money per hour do you make at your job?
you will be spending a few hundred hrs doing this conversion at least.
calculate it out.
your hourly wage x hours to do the firewall swap + parts = cost of swap
I know my time isn't free, but maybe yours is.
chances are, you are going to be pretty close to buying a complete other car.
buy a rhd car, then you dont have to worry about the trouble to do the swap. swap all your stuff on, sell everything else
better yet, drive a few rhd cars to see if you even like it, the notoriety does wear off quickly

Re: rhd conversion? legal?????
rhd clips are pretty cheap, and as long as you can do all the fabrication work yourself that saves on money.
a couple of my buddys who've done it said they would do it again, others said its not worth all the effort to get it. but none of them took a couple hundred hours to get it done. i helped one of them do it in a week spending maybe 4-5 hours a day for a week. and that was mostly bullshittin and drinkin most of the time..
i mean ripping the dash out takes what a half hour maybe 45 minutes, then pull the rest. pulling a d series, and everything attatched to the firewall takes maybe half a day to a full day if you know what your doing...

X2, I've driven a real JDM EG6 SiR-S on numerous occasions, the novelty wears off quicker than you would think, so does being constantly stared at, people look at you like you're retarded (which honestly might not be too far off) If you must have RHD because its so "mad tyte JDM yo!" then I suggest calling an importer, at least then you get the rest of the stuff that makes a real EG6 cool in the first place (white faced gauge cluster, automatic climate control, pwr folding mirrors, cool rear interior, etc)

When you start this process, take alot of pics. i want to see this build.
I will be doing this conversion in my future.
I have a 92 accord and i hope to have this completed by the early next year. I have a lot to do from now till then.
