Is this the engine coolant temp sensor (code 6).?

 

that is the ect sensor which gives the ecu the temp reading. the one pin ect connector to the left of that is for the gauge reading. and the ect switch is on the thermo housing which is what tells your fan to kick on.

Are you guys sure that this is the ect bc the engine I have now looks just like that but the replacement pc I need to buy is a black sensor my wire don't fit the white sensor these are the wires from my obd1 my engine is obd2 wasent sure if I just need to replace the sensor or not
