92 accord top speed
My '90 fuel cut was ~120. could've been off from larger wheels, I guess.
First time I hit it I thought the engine blew, lol. Very annoying feature, so glad that's over.
Getting passed by KIA Spectra at 125 FTL.
Car sold long ago. That engine was indestructable, tho

how do you feel about math..?
you can calculate the theoretical top speed given redline, tire OD, 5th gear ratio and final drive ratio.

this shows it to be about 156mph... this is assuming the limiting factor to be your gearing and redline. unrealistic.
things like computer governers, wind, road friction, suspension design/handling and power deficit are all the real limiting factors.
don't try unless your on some test track in the desert or something.. you may surely die.

The biggest limiter is drag. The faster you go, the faster you have to displace the air, and the greater increase in power required. The top speed in this car is not something you need to worry about. The stock setup is not properly equipped to be driven at those speeds. Curiosity has gotten to me before though, and I have found the limiter at 115MPH once.

Face it, it was designed for the Cup Holder / Tissue Dispenser crowd.
Yet dispite that; it's a real testimony how people like myself truely love the things. Guess that's why we spend all manner of $$$ on them.
I just wish Honda would offer Crate Motors; much like the LS6 Goodwrench offers. Or maybe a Gale Banks unit.......

Honestly, 115 MPH is pretty good for a lard *** like the Accord.

The people that can do something with the CB's and CD's are great, but they still won't be 'fast', just 'quick'.
Honda misses out by not supplying the aftermarket the way other sport compact companies do. HFP really doesn't do all that much, compared to NISMO, TRD, Ralliart, Mazdaspeed, Mopar, GMPP, etc.

is pretty accurate if you put in the correct tire size, max rpm, gear ratios, etc.
it shows I am good for about 135 in 4th on my 225 50 15 drag radials... which is just about right (I dont make 5th gear pulls in boost). I hope people realize how especially dangerous it is to be running this fast for the period of time it would take to get to top speed in a stock or lightly modified accord (or really any car)... especially on a public road. I am no angel but be careful guys.

Personally, and legally this is an untrue statement, the automatic does 132ish downhill, so aerodynamically I don't see why that wouldn't be true for the manual option, as long as the gearing truthfully ends at 158 like the other guy said.
