hey guys. just bought my new project its a 95 ex has a blown single cam 1.6 vtec. the guy ran a t3/t4 on it with no wasgate and slung a rod. so here is my dilemma i can get a non vtec 1.6 for 300 and put the turbo and vtec head on it ( which i have read will give me 10.5 to 1 compression) or i can get a b18b1 for 350 but ill have to buy a tranny and i think im not sure a different exhaust manifold for the turbo... i am on a limited budget but would like to still have a quick car( be able to run with stock mustangs and such) which on would you guys go with. any advice or feedback would be great this is my first honda build so im new to this.

 

buy the b18, get a ebay manifold, look at a junk yard for a cheap tranny.

or

get the b18, save up for a better setup

 

go with the sohc, and save yourself money..
