Default timing belt tensioners honda accord 2001

how would i know if i had a bad belt tensioner?

the reason is that that pushed the tensioners to create tension and i did not follow the directions. Now i have to redo the timing belt change because of the whining noise.

just spin the tensioner. if it feels loose or makes rattle sounds then replace it. if you aren't getting the tension you feel you should you can try replacing the spring.
