b18c5 swap into '00 Si parts list
I just purchased a 2000 Honda Civic Si with a blown engine (on purpose). I plan to purchase the b18c5 here: http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc...age&item=30010
I've never done a swap before, so I want to make sure I have everything going into it because I had the car taken to my cousin's house that is 4 hours away from where I live (he's a mechanic, has a lift in his garage, etc.) and will have the engine shipped there as well. I called hmotorsonline and was informed the only thing I needed to purchase in addition to the swap in the link I provided above is a harness that they sell ($90 for a OBD conversion harness). I was also told by them that the axles that are on the car already will work.
What I'm getting at is are they correct? I intend to drive the car back to my place, so I need to have it all figured out ahead of time. Will the factory Si axles work? I'll replace them regardless due to their age (150k) as well as wheel bearings and engine mounts, plus a fidanza flywheel while the engine is out.
Is there anything else I need for this swap? Thanks for any help in advance.

I've done a c5 swap in my 1999 civic si, so basically You have everything you need on the civic. Use the stock Civic Si harness, swap over the civic alternator and distributor to the integra engine. You're gonna have to swap the drivers side motor mount from the civic engine to the type-r engine. The axles will work. Also, the obd harness will be necessary if you use plan on using the integra computer, you might have to move the fuel relay wire on the computer plug if you choose to use the type r computer. The stock SI computer will work fine for now if you don't wanna buy the harness.
