00 dx swap
so i finally bought a swap for my 00 dx hatchback. i bought a B16A2 FULL SWAP, ENGINE,5SPD TRANS,ENGINE HARNESS,ECU,SHIFT LINKAGES,MOUNTS,AXLES from a 00 civic si. so my question is...do i need anything else for this swap?
i use the si rear tranny mounts and driver side mount, drop in the engine, hook up the si engine harness to the si ecu. hook back all the miscellaneous goodies and start the engine. is it that simple? im hoping that i can do the swap this weekend. im also gonna change the tbelt, waterpump, thermostat, valve cover gasget, clutch and replacing the belts.
im new here and this is my first honda swap. so any advice or tips will be greatly appreciated!

Re: 00 dx swap
sounds like you have everything you need and yes it is that simple (its a honda) and good idea on the maintenance before it goes in, much easier to change that stuff when the motor is still out of the car..
have fun with vtec but the torqueless action will get annoying after a while, i want to supercharge my B16 now for torque!!

Re: 00 dx swap
update! well the shop forgot to pack the shift linkage so i had to drive 1 hour each way to get it. so they gave me innovative motor mounts from another engine swap they had for free, for my inconvenience! cant wait to put them on! i got home and i took out the engine in about 2 hours...and i was taking my time. no bolts gave me any problem...i cleaned the engine bay with soap and water and did minor wire tucks. im taking pics so after the swap is complete ill post them up!
