Issue with turbo placement and front motor mount
So I go to fit my turbo on to see exactly where its touching and its actually touching the top right bolt on the front motor mount. People said to get the ESP traction bar with the torque dampener but getting the ESP traction bar wont help, in fact looking at the images it may make it more difficult unfortunately.
I may cut some of the mount bracket to make space for the oil drain but I was thinking of 3 things for the turbo placement/bolt issue. 1) Taking that bolt off and running with only the other 2 bolts on the front motor mount to see if it clears, 2) Trying to find a spacer to go in between the turbo and the exh mani , or 3) modifying the exh mani itself by maybe angling the outlet to the turbo.
Input/Advice ? This *should* be the last hurdle on the whole build

maybe get a clocking flange? have you tried mounting the turbo the other way also
I'm not sure I would run less bolts in my motor mounts
you could maybe run a thicker exhaust manifold gasket as well?

Hmm good ideas.. a clocking flange eh? Searched on that but couldn't find anything about it, what is it exactly?

you can do it like that
or I have seen flanges that rotate the turbo so they can clear the manifold on a top mount

well the clocking flange does exactly that
and in my previous post I mean clear the valve cover/head if your running a top mount
I know the panducky shop used it on their CRX but since they shut down their website is gone and I can not find the picture to save my life
Ill check for you

I guess they custom made this
Might restrict your flow a few cfm but if it means fitment or not Its a sacrifice that would be worth it
